It's nice and sunny and we're going to the pool! Today will be C's first dip in the water - I'm excited! She is 6 months now, so I figured she's probably ok to have some sunscreen on.
Tonight I want to get started on my new applique shirts! First will be the "floppy-eared elephant"...

I'm the "Item of the Day"
I'm so proud! One of my dresses got picked as the "Item of the Day" on Handmadenews.org!

Thanks April for considering me!!!
A's birthday
My little girl turned 3, and we had a big party for her, including bouncy house, balloons and all the tricks of the trade. A was especially looking forward to the cake and everybody singing "Happy Birthday" to her. In fact, she had been practicing for months before "Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday dear me-e-e, happy birthday to me!"
Here's a picture of her when everybody sang to her.
The dress she wore (birthday cupcakes) is from my Etsy store collection. Check it out here:

Talking about A...
Since I mentioned my daughter A in my last post...
A few weeks ago A saw her Daddy naked and remarked on the disappointingly short size of his "tail". Daddy was devastated, but of course A had been comparing it to the tails of animals she's seen at the zoo, like lions, tigers and the like. Also, A suggested to Daddy to have his tail fixed, since it's obviously in the wrong place. Everyone knows tails go in the back!

My daughter's "speech impediment"
A, like many 3-year-olds, loves Dora. For those who are not avid Nickelodeon watchers, Dora is a little girl with a talking monkey friend. With stunningly little facial expression and immense optimism Dora achieves great tasks, such as finding golden coins under a pyramid (who else would have possibly thought of looking there!?) or personally delivering a present to Santa on Christmas.
In the title song, Dora (or whoever) sings D-D-D-D-D-Dora and so on, so now A finds it very hip to do the same when she talks.
"M-M-M-Mommy, can I have some g-g-g-g-goldfish?"
Oh, I love kids shows...

My very first post!
Hello everyone (yes, I realize it's just me so far, but hey, one can keep hoping!),
I invite you to join me while I babble about my (rather boring) life as a stay-at-home mom and Etsy store owner. I live in Hawaii, which should add some excitement!
I'll be back very shortly, but right now I am curious what this post will look like once it's published!
Aloha!!
